A Botanical Wonderland of Fynbos and Lichen
The plant life in Agulhas National Park is just as impressive as its wildlife! The park is part of the Cape Floral Kingdom, one of the world's richest and most diverse plant regions. Here, you’ll find a stunning variety of fynbos, a unique type of vegetation that thrives in the nutrient-poor soils of the region. The rocks are also often covered in colourful crustose lichen, which grows tightly attached to the surface, forming a thin, crust-like layer.
